With my previous email, I was constantly annoyed by the HUGE flash ads popping up everywhere. It was also horribly annoying to organize everything... I heard about Gmail though my dad who reads so many RSS feeds that my mom and I are flabbergasted at how he gets anything else done... Finally I got an account. Suddenly all of my email was easily organized and the ads just vanished into text, which I rarely noticed and was actually useful when I saw it. When chat was added to Gmail it gave me an easy way to quickly contact all my friends without having to pay for the phone or sending a ton of email with just a few words. And with all the other organizational services Google offers like Calendar, my family is more organized than it ever has been.
