Gmail: Google's approach to email

Gmail: In Your Words

Some friends and I have effectively started our own little message board. Back in January 2006, a friend sent a bunch of people a quick joke email, to which a few of us fired off a reply-all response. Shortly after, everyone kept replying to everyone else on the CC list, submitting pictures, anecdotes, having conversations. Over time, people introduced their friends and coworkers to this. At over 30 people, and well over 3000 replies, Gmail's email grouping and label indexing has allowed us to keep all our social lives, jokes, pictures, and random discussion in our little forum, cleanly seperated from the other content sitting in our archive.
