Never being a fan of web-based email I initially began using Gmail as a repository for junk email. Impressed with it's spam filter reliability I began using it all the time. We all know the headache of configuring spam filters in desktop email clients. People only want their email. Gmail is what you'd expect to get out of web-based email. The others simply cannot compete and behave like they're still designed for 1995.
