Gmail: In Your Words

My husband and I have been trying for 2 years to have a child. We have had a very long road with a miscarriage and 2 premature births. This March when we found out that I was pregnant again I was placed on modified bed rest and was very limited as to what I was able to do. I had a million doctor appointments and that was my only contact with the outside world. I have a very large family and lots of friends who wanted to know how things were going through and so I started the pregnancy update with Gmail. Weekly after my doctor appointments I would email friends and family (including my brother who was stationed with the military in Iraq) about how the pregnancy was progressing and what the doctors had to say. By the time my daughter was born (at 39 weeks and healthy) I had over 40 people on my list. My Grandfather calls it the Daily Blab and my friends and family walked with me step by step to a very successful pregnancy and delivery even though they were across the country and even a world away.
