My fiance and I have been in a long distance relationship for four years now, but it was not only until 2006 that we found about about Gmail. He is in an immigrant in the US, and I am left here in the Philippines. Tough times came when he had to be deployed to Iraq for 6 months! It was hard for us because his phone calls are very limited. We had to rely on an email service so that we could still constantly be in touch. That was when he told me to get a Gmail account. We are so happy with the service! We get our emails in real time and Gmail is very user friendly. Gmail was one of the ways that helped us to stay together during the deployment.
