Gmail: In Your Words

I'm a proud Army wife with a very busy life taking care of two teenagers and a toddler while my husband is in deployment for 15 months. We both tried to communicate by phone but it's not very possible on an everyday basis even if he's in Satellite Communication field, because of the amount of soldiers trying to do the shortcut and sneak in their galley just to call home. We learned about Gmail through my father in law and opened an account because it's simplier for him due to old age. Plus, I can send tons of photos and music as an attachment. He loves hearing his granddaughter sing. The most important thing is that I can leave my PC on, and open my Gmail, and get on with my chores at home while waiting for my hubby to go online then just chat. Because of the chat, I can leave a message for him real quick without composing an email even if he's not online. We can chat without worrying with time. Or while he works on his satellite. Or after work just to say goodnight. Or fighting over the few phones against other soldiers who really in need to call home. Thank you Gmail. Because of you, life for us couple being apart is a "little" bit bearable.
