Gmail: Google's approach to email

Gmail: In Your Words

I got my Gmail on May 18, 2005. How do I know? I still have your welcome email, because I don't have to delete many emails thanks to your very generous storage space. I use filters extensively to categorize my email with labels and to highlight important emails with stars. So when I check my email, which is more and more often, the first thing I do is read the ones with stars... I like the fact that your email chains make it easy to refer back to previous parts of a particular conversation. I use the filter and forward to send a backup copy of important information to another email address on my domain name. I love your groups feature and use it extensively. I love how good your search feature is, to cover what your labels don't cover in the first place. Gmail is my connection to family friends and colleagues who are mostly on the East Coast and in Iceland.
