When I was stationed in Japan serving in the U.S. Air Force a couple years ago I met some new friends and started a band called "Mercury Descends". After a short two years of music writing and playing shows I received new orders to Wichita, KS leaving the band behind. It was a bit depressing because I was leaving all the hardwork creating music, and new friendships behind. Before I left Japan we vowed that we would do everything we could to stay in touch and keep writing music any way possible until we could meet back up in the future and give the pipe dream musician thing a real go. Over the years that the band was separated living in 4 different states, and 2 continents we were still creating music by using Gmail. My bassist and I quickly realized with the amount of data we were able to transfer with Gmail we could quickly & easily email song ideas back and forth creating music in a different but highly successful way. In August 2007 we completed our first CD entitled "Foreign Protocol" which couldn't have been completed without Gmail...
