Gmail: In Your Words

When Gmail first came out I was in the Marines. I was invited from a friend back home, as it was still by invite only. I loved it. The large attachment limit allowed me to send pics back and forth with the family back home. After a few weeks of using it, I figured it would be great for the whole platoon to get a Gmail account prior to going to Iraq. It took some time, I think 3 weeks to hunt down enough invites, but I did. The platoon was off to Iraq and loving Gmail. The Marines had a limit of 5M attachments and a mean firewall. So Gmail allowed all 30 members of my platoon to keep in close touch with their families back in the states. That was 2 years ago and we all still keep in touch with Gmail!! Thank you for what you did with this service. I bet you had no clue you were serving your countries troops in such a great way!
