Gmail: In Your Words

I am deaf and have been for a few years, because of a brain tumor. I am finding more and more ways to carry on my regular life, despite having the handicap of tremendous hearing difficulties. Gmail is wonderful! Besides all of its technical features, I am most grateful for "chats" with my friends. One of the biggest losses after my deafness was the inability to chat on the phone with people. Then, I was introduced to Gmail chats. The first time I used it, I almost cried with joy. Regardless of how often I chat, I always have a sense of gratitude for Gmail. You have no idea how important it is for me to be able to say, "Oh, yes, I chatted with X yesterday and ..." I know that it is not the same as talking on the phone, but it is a gift for a deaf person. Thank you!!!
