Gmail's spam filter is so awesome, it has changed my life. I used to have my own domain name, with an email address associated with it. The last few years, though, my spam had gotten SO bad I didn't even want to check that account, so I've slowly been convincing all my friends to write me at my Gmail account instead. But to demonstrate how much better your spam filter is than my hosting company's: I would get 100 - 150 spam emails a day. You heard it right. Ridiculous. Since Gmail lets you forward email to an account, I set it up to forward. Now I may only get one spam per day that isn't caught. It's amazing.
