My boyfriend and I started our online friendship, initially through an online chat messenger. But it proved to be too cumbersome as both of us had to be online at the same time to be able to communicate with each other. This was a challenging task with him in Singapore doing Army and me in Western Australia, Perth doing my Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications. After other futile attempts, we decided emailing is THE WAY to go. With both of us on Gmail, it doesn't take us long to start on our emailing journey as we are close to 4000km apart. We sent very, very lengthy emails to each other, chatting with one another through the emails, long before Gmail Chat came along. I think we had come far. In the months that followed, close to 6 months, before we finally met up, we had sent close to 1000 emails. By then we had built our basis of each other's character and likes & dislikes on Gmail, what an amazing feat! When we met up, it was the very first time we saw each other in the flesh. The connection is so strong between us! And as they say, the rest is history. We are still going strong and preparing our future lives together. You are a wonderful middle-person connecting us together!
